Bead Pen Bug Charm

One bug charm to decorate, with rows of small empty dots. Kids fill the pen with beads, place it on a dot and press, and one bead goes in. They keep going until the whole bug is full of color.

Why kids keep playing with it

• Every press fills one more dot, so kids see the bug change as they go.
• Kids pick the color for every dot, so no two finished bugs look the same.
• Placing one bead at a time on a small dot is good practice for careful hand control.
• The finished bug gets used. Clip it to a bag with the ball chain, or use a sticky pad to put it on a cup or a phone case.
