Chameleon 3D Mural Bricks

A picture you build. 2,688 mini bricks, 4.5mm x 6mm, clip onto a brown baseplate layer over layer until a chameleon head stands out in relief from the panel behind it. The finished piece hangs from the slots along the top edge, or leans on a shelf.

Why builders like it

• It is not a flat mosaic. The snout, the eye and the crest are stacked forward of the plate, so the piece reads as relief from across the room.
• The green run alone goes from lime to deep forest. Sorting the trays first is part of the work.
• Mini bricks hold tight detail. The eye is built from six colors in a space the width of a thumbnail.
• It finishes as wall art, so the hours stay on display instead of going back in the box.
