Intellectual Globe Toy

A globe a toddler takes apart. Seven continent pieces lift out and press back in. Each one is a different color and a different shape, so a piece only fits its own place. The globe turns on its stand.

Why kids keep playing with it

• The continents are a shape puzzle first. A toddler learns the outline of Africa by feel, long before the name means anything.
• Three toys sit on one base: the puzzle globe, a bead wire and a row of piano keys.
• The globe turns, so a child can bring the gap they want round to the front instead of reaching over the top.
• It works sitting on the floor, which is where an 18 month old already is.
