ArtKids Desserts Squishy Toys

Mix, pour, decorate, squish. Kids blend the squishy solution with a color pigment, pour it into a dessert mold, then set the finished piece into a metal tray packed with pompoms and beads. The tray seals under a clear front, and the squishy presses through it with a thumb.

Why kids keep playing with it

• Four pigments, not four fixed colors. A drop or two changes the batch, so the child picks the shade before pouring.
• Three molds — cupcake, unicorn and cake — and the same mold gives a different result every time it is filled.
• Decorating is its own step. Pompoms, confetti, beads and glitter go around the squishy inside the tray.
• The sealed tray gets a paper card and a chain, so the finished piece clips onto a bag instead of going in a drawer.

Good to know

• Recommended age: 8 and up
• The pigment is liquid, so work on a table you can wipe.
